How to wear your Kimono all season round - inspiration from Gigi Hadid ;)
You may or may not know, a Kimono is a robe or tunic variant of Asiatic origin, and has been worn by a number of cultures around the world for thousands of years. Styles, uses, and names for the vary from culture to culture. In some cultures, the kaftan has served as a symbol of royalty.
The modern-day woman wears the Kimono as a coat or as an overdress. In regions with a warmer climate, it is worn as a light-weight, loose-fitting garment. It typically has long sleeves and reaches to the ankles, but these days you can find any length, pattern or fabric.
The flexibility of this garment is what brings the huge appeal. We’ve compiled a collage for you (below) showing how supermodel Gigi Hadid dresses the various lengths up and down with significantly different undergarments. As Kimono's are all about the prints, you’ll probably want to keep the undergarments on the simplistic side.
Dinner date (now that restaurant's are open Yay!), shopping spree with the girls or movies with your Bae, best believe you’ll find yourself looking super stylish every time - and don't forget your matching mask!
